On the Sunday 16th July 2023 ,Tedburn St Mary FC and Stagecoach South West teamed up to for a fantastic fund raising day held at our ground at Barley Park.
The day was arranged for fun and to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance, and we all certainly had some fun!
Our groundsman even allowed the game to be played on our 1st Team pitch. Our groundsman had worked tirelessly out of season to prepare the pitch for the upcoming season, and it was fantastic for the pitch to be used for a charity football event.
Devon Air Ambulance is very close to our hearts as Barley Park is registered with Devon Air Ambulance as part of our training pitch is kept clear for Devon Air Ambulance to use – their helicopters can land out our site to attend local emergencies, if called upon.
Over the course of the day, the fantastic sum of over £1,000 was raised for Devon Air Ambulance.
Stagecoach Southwest brought an ambitious team, and we were all really lucky with the weather and the whole day was enjoyed by all including a BBQ hosted by the club with hot and cold drinks supplied from our kitchen to help with the fundraising.
The children who came along to support their teams also enjoyed the delights of a bouncy castle supplied by Puffins Holiday Club something to keep the kids amused!
